Homework for Spanish Ib
Homework consists of studying vocabulary and preparing for quizzes and tests.
Any student who did not complete his/her assignment during class, must complete it at home and bring it back the next day.
The Spanish book should be taken home every day. A few minutes of daily study after school is a must to keep on top of the material.
Periodically, parents/guardians will receive a letter or a phone call announcing a major quiz or test. These letters will require a parent signature and must be brought back the next day. Each signed letter carries a HOMEWORK grade.
Since the beginning of the year we have covered the following:

Unidad III Etapa 1
This Unit will last approximately 3 weeks
Continue with UNIDAD III ETAPA 1.
Students will work on the Más Práctica Workbook and continue practicing the grammar points we worked together in class.
Two small quizzes will take place this week. The first one will be on. Please encourage your child to bring his/her book home and to spend a few minutes reviewing the material.
We will start the "En Uso" (review activities) to prepare for the Etapa 1.
Continue with UNIDAD III ETAPA 1.
Students will continue reviewing Etapa 1 material in preparation for Chapter Test
Start Unidad III Etapa 2.
Video Activities: Text pp.226 to 229 in the new edition.
Tuesday: Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please, come to talk to your teacher about your child's progress.
Vocabulary Quiz -Matching. Please, encourage your child to study and prepare for this quiz. Vocabulary is key to the language learning process. Chapter Reading Activity.
Multiple Choice Chapter Test. Tests are 40% of the overall grade. Quizzes are 25% of the overall grade. A low grade in the test can drop your child's grade considerably. Please, encourage your child to prepare for tests and quizzes. These percentages are set by Roanoke City Schools.
We are now finishing Unidad III E.3. On Friday we had Chapter Test. If students have difficulties with the material we will continue working with the chapter and have a retake. Please encourage your child to study.
